Pulmonary Medicine
Pulmonologists specialize in diseases of the lungs
and respiratory system and commonly evaluate
patients with persistent coughing, difficulty
breathing, abnormal chest x-rays and chest pain.
Critical Care
Medicine
Critical Care Physicians monitor and treat patients
with respiratory failure, shock, and overwhelming
infections (sepsis) in an intensive care unit.
Sleep Medicine
Sleep Medicine Physicians evaluate patients for
difficulty breathing and snoring at night. They also
treat patients with excessive daytime sleepiness (hypersomnia)
and fatigue from conditions such as Obstructive and
Central Sleep Apnea and Narcolepsy. |
